We continue our Digital / 7‐inch series with Olde Soul and Double K (People Under the Stairs), as they take listeners on a journey set to well‐crafted, sample‐based beats.
The mission begins with producer Olde Soul, setting the pace with “Taking Me Places,” a tale about weaving through L.A. nights. Mc, Blak King narrates the tale over hard drums and vintage filtered bass, steered by vibes. Olde soul's side of the journey ends with the headnotic “Along the Way.”
Los Angeles legend Double K detours with the melodic, funk tinged “Face to Face.” An extra treat concludes this project in the form of a “Bonus Beat" straight from the floppy disc stack.
